Traditional pastry marries e-commerce technology

The Italian confectionery tradition goes out of the confectioneries and conquers the web thanks to Idea Golosa (www.ideagolosa.it), an innovative e-commerce portal entirely dedicated to refined Made in Italy delicacies.

The project, which already recorded 120.000 views, in the first quarter of life, with a strong increase in the pre-Christmas and pre-Easter period, was born of two young Benevents: Fabiana, heiress of Dolciaria Borrillo, who has always been involved in direct confrontation with the customer for family business, and Daniele, software developer and business manager.

Fabiana e Daniele

«We decided to combine our knowledge and open a virtual shop in which I deal with relations with visitors and Daniele for the informatic and strategic part - says Fabiana - E-commerce is an important challenge: we want to propose ourselves as a shop window behind where to find people and not just a catalog of products. We follow every customer, every order, from the beginning to the end ... and even later».

And so the customer, private or company, can rely on a real team, available by phone, email or whatsapp, with whom to compare and choose the right product for a special occasion or a corporate gift.

«Those who contact us - Fabiana continues - want to know details such as ingredients and taste. We always provide a lot of information to create in the visitor's mind the most real possible goddess of what he will buy, so as not to betray his expectations».

A feedback system, which can not be modified by the company to guarantee impartiality, also allows newcomers to confront those who have already experimented with shopping on the portal.

On Idea Golosa you can find niche products , linked to the territory and made with refined raw materials. Some examples?

The famous Torroni Baci Borrillo, (which IdeaGolosa is exclusive for online sales) small bars of almonds and hazelnuts covered with fine dark chocolate, a delicacy whose recipe has been handed down in the Fabiana family since 1891; the panettone and the handmade doves of the Italian Master Pastry Chef Salvatore De Riso, made with fresh and natural ingredients (such as the Amalfi Coast IGP lemons); the Bouquin-Dupont Fils Champagne, of which only 15,000 bottles per year are produced ... On the site, moreover, there are precious ground coffee, Agrimontana jams and refined drinks, such as Riesling Dr. Loosen. Moreover, from this year there will be the products of Pastry Chef L'ile Douce of Milan of Pastry Chef Fabrizio Barbato. The nougat from the Premiata Fabbrica del Cavaliere Innocenzo Borrillo and much more.

An additional advantage: shipments take place mainly on the day of orders and express courier. They are also planned and agreed with the producers so that the purchases do not remain in stock beyond the time of sorting (usually at most 3 days), thus guaranteeing freshness.
